In 2019 I will again be offering a unique opportunity to learn and experience the joy of handling clay, working on the potter's wheel, trying different decorating techniques, and even firing a wood fired kiln.
In 2018 I finished the extension to my workshop, providing a purpose built space to host my summer courses. Student numbers are kept to four per course, each student will have access to a potters wheel and all the facilities of the workshop. Tea ,coffee and a vegetarian lunch is provided each day. Weather permitting the wood fired pizza oven will be lit on the Saturday for all students to enjoy a meal together.

A two and a half day workshop that will introduce you to the pottery studio and give plenty of time to experience throwing on a potters wheel. Weather and time permitting on Sunday afternoon we will slip and decorate the pots you have made.
We will be focusing on throwing and hand building mugs and small jugs.

We will be throwing bowls, shallow and deep forms, and learning how to make and use flop moulds for plates and dishes.

This year I will be offering something special, a four day course in which each student will be able to make pots in the studio and at the end of the course we will fire my new Phoenix design wood fired kiln. Each student will be able to take home all the work that they have made and fired themselves.
